Cookeville Computers has been SOOOOOOOOOOOOOO busy lately that we have really had a hard time keeping up with web design projects. Luckily, today is cold, wet, rainy, and maybe even icy later which keeps anyone from bringing computers in for repair service. This, in addition to the fact we have sold our entire stock of laptop and desktop computers (thanks !!!!) means we are going to get a lot of web and graphic work done this afternoon which is awesome ’cause that’s my favorite think to do. I did forget my wacom tablet at home this morning but I will make do with a mouse.

Christian Board Riders – New Web Site

I am currently working on a new web site for the Christian Board Riders. This is a cool collection of people who have put Christ first in their life and are using their enjoyment of sports to spread the word of Jesus. Its a work in progress so check it out. Some really neat pictures of them doing their thing but most importantly, they are spreading the message of Jesus.

Created a new graphic last night which may end up being used as a T-shirt design. Went through several designs of the same basic concept and this is the one I decided to go with.

Had a Nasty Virus Come in this Week

Had a super nasty rootkit virus come into the store this week. It seems these are really catching on and most free virus software are unable to detect these. This is the first virus I have had in a long time which I was unable to remove in normal amount of time so the operating system had to be installed. Luckily it was a fairly new computer and all personal data was able to be saved.

So be careful with the viruses and you may want to think about investing in a virus software which detects and removes rootkit bugs.
